This WW2 shelter is situated in Inverclyde, Scotland. It was built by a team of Polish workers in 1939, is 600 metres in length, an average of 45 ft below solid granite (the government standard depth was 30ft) and took 6 months to complete working on it 24hrs per day. I have never in the 28 years of visiting seen it without water in so this was a nice surprise.
