Exploring an abandoned Las Vegas Marina, with fueling station and store. Abandoned in Las Vegas Nevada desert.
Lake Mead 2017 Abandoned Nevada
The Marina the sits near Las Vegas at Lake Mead was shut down by the National Park Service in 2013. Now, a few years later, nature is reclaiming this abandoned spot.
The marina closed after it went to bid and no business was interested in operating it, in part because of Lake Mead’s falling water levels, The water level of the reservoir has fallen to an all-time low. This place is sitting mostly untouched and it's completely abandoned, because of the drought we have out here in Las Vegas it has not been cost efficient to move the marina closer to water. So now this building sits abandoned in the Nevada desert.
