Last abandoned explore I found while holidaying in the tropics of northern Queensland last year.
So many of these type of cabins were once what once dotted the region for either seasonal cane workers or they were inhabited by people that were looking for a sea change from big cities to work on the islands in the area or other tourist businesses such as tour boats that took people out to the reef of the Whitsundays etc. So many were make shift with what ever people could find for improvements of the dwellings and you can see that the cooker looks like it was once in a business at some stage and was re-purposed. People were happy living a far simpler way of live when escaping the rat race and from experience myself when I did the same thing early in the 90's were happy to even live in sheds in the rainforest with just the very basics .
