AAVSO Data Mining Workshop recording--workshop originally held over Zoom on November 1, 2020. Workshop leader: Colin Littlefield.
To get the most out of the workshop recording, it is recommended that you:
- have a basic familiarity with general concepts of variable stars, such variable-star classification, periodic vs. aperiodic variability, the VSX database, and so forth.
- have a computer with one of the following operating systems: Windows, MacOS, or Linux. (All software is free, open-source, and cross-platform.)
- Have installed:
o the Anaconda distribution of Python,
o Lightkurve, and
o have downloaded VStar and added the Lightkurve plugin.
