In celebration of how huge my 1.0 creator contest had gotten, my discord server felt it would be a great opportunity to host an official 1.0-limitation gigacollab. After seeing a lot of interest in it, I commissioned fellow 1.0 builder and composer @nnolokk to write a song for this project, and with a few logistics figured out, the collab went underway with building.
There are a total of 138 builders who are featured in this, with a total build-time of around 2 months (~13 builders every 3 days). I should note that there was no auditioning or building standards when gathering the builders: Anyone who was involved with the discord or participated in the contest was allowed to build in the gigacollab! I even managed to get Cody, one of the OG 1.0 builders, to build a part as well! :D
The purpose behind this collaboration was to not only celebrate the resurgence of 1.0 through the contest, but also as a way to showcase off the diverse stylistic differences there are within the 1.0 update. There isn't a right or wrong way to build, even in spite of the updates restrictions. The only restriction is your own creativity ~
I want to give a HUGE thank you to NnolokK who not only wrote this banger song but also helped me regarding the quality control/redecoration efforts. I also want to extend a huge thank you to my playtesting team who made sure the collaboration was balanced for everyone to enjoy! Their names can be found below.
