STORY

In the forgotten corners of eastern France, we discovered a crumbling house that almost didn't film. At first glance, it looked like a dump, trash everywhere, broken furniture, the kind of place you’d walk right past. But hidden beneath the decay was a story that hit us harder than we expected.

Inside, we found emotional handwritten letters… one asking, “Are you taking care of Mommy?”, another saying, “I’m working hard so we can be together again.”

These notes led us down the path of a broken family: a father gone too soon, a mother working far away, a grandmother left behind… and a young man named Alex, whose life seemed to orbit this home. He was barely out of his teenage years, yet he lived here, alone, surrounded by the weight of everything left behind.

Then suddenly, Alex disappeared. No note. No trace. No goodbye.
Just a house full of memories… and unanswered questions.

This turned out to be one of the most emotional stories we’ve ever told.
