Back in early to mid 2009, I recorded an album called Dronology, a deep, meditative dive into the slow-motion weight and texture of drone metal. It originally came out on October 29th, 2009 through a small label I was a part of at the time, which sadly no longer exists. When the label folded, Dronology vanished from the internet entirely.
I’ve decided to bring it back for free.
Dronology is my personal homage to Dylan Carlson and his pioneering work with Earth, especially their monumental debut Earth 2: Special Low-Frequency Version (1993). This album is a love letter to the power of tone, sustain, and atmosphere, an experiment in pure, sustained heaviness.
Originally released under my electronic project Morphine Machine, I’ve decided to reissue it under A World Divided since it’s purely built on guitar and bass, with no electronic elements.
