Wildfires were burning across the San Juan Mountains, storms seemed to follow us everywhere, and rockslides and mudslides were closing roads around us. But we came to Colorado for a week of wheeling, camping, and exploring some of the most incredible trails in the country, and this time, I brought my dad along for the adventure.
What started as an overland trip quickly became something much more. Between the storms, mountain passes, campfires, incredible views, and a few moments weโll never forget, I was reminded that sometimes the best trips arenโt about where the trail takes you. Theyโre about whoโs sitting beside you.
