today I wanted to sit down and have a candid chat about when our planners don't go as planned... get it? okay, okay, I'll stop.
I have been loving my Hobonichi Cousin and as we approach 2024 planning I really wanted to emphasize that your notebook should be a safe space for you to express yourself functionally and creatively, WITHOUT the pressure of making it perfect. Since taking art more seriously I have noticed my own planner practices changing but thankfully my 3 year old is keeping me in check by forcing my hobonichi to be imperfect and I think there is a lot of value in that.
The most important aspect of planning and productivity is finding joy in the process and if your perfectionism is hindering you from that joy, then it may be time to loosen the reigns a little bit. I hope this planner flip through gave you some inspiration and guidance as you navigate your own book. Just remember, you're doing a great job!
