This weekend I went to the third annual convention, A Video Game Con. In attendance this year were some great YouTube gaming celebs like Norm the Gaming Historian, Pat the NES Punk, Ian from the CUP Podcast, Adam Koralik, GillyTheKid and more. Everyone was very nice and welcoming.
It brought back it’s HUGE free play selection of Arcade cabinets, Pinball machines, and home consoles (new and retro). This year yours truly even contributed to the Free-Play area by bringing the Virtual Girl, Hyper Fighting, and the Virtual Boy Link Cable for some genuinely unique gaming experiences.
It was a gamer of any gen’s dream. They held a cosplay contest, raffles, panels, and had live music. Vendors had a very large market place area stocked to the brim with tons of gaming things to happily waste your cash on.
It was a great gathering of collectors, hobbyists, sellers, and gamers. I attended both days and everyone was extremely nice and down to earth. This was the last year it will be held at this location and next year it will be held in the Meadowlands, NJ.
