2022, you better kick some ass. Cuz I'm all out of gum. Wait, did that go like that? Anyway, ya better kick some ass and it better not be -our- ass all over again.

Aight folks, decided to end the upload streak with a bang this 2021. It's been a truly lovely year in its best moments at least, all of which have left me with enough confidence that I'll be keeping you entertained for many more years to come! Especially after reaching greatness in this year's Creacon, among others (stay tuned). And I mean, I can't just get out the back door after having so many uploads lined up, right? Right?

So yeah, as usual, the multiverse that we can see is acting up more than usual lately has actually lowkey broken down in the Yakuza universe this faithful end of the year as well. Mysterious characters like buffed up CJ and Web of Shadows Spider Man are pouring in like mosquitoes at a summertime barbecue and, as expected, the only thing Kiryu needs to do this time is what he always does: beat up Kuze 347347 times. And, well, other stuff too I guess.

This fun edit idea combined with a small touch of visual bliss from this year and previous years' gorgeous light displays in Tokyo (thank you for existing Shibuya Illumination and @Nostro-!) is just my way of crowning the sensation that's defined these couple'a years for me, at least from a creative standpoint. These years have all but plunged us in an almost insatiable hunt for mental refuge, possibly more than ever before, which has translated not only into consuming much more media in an attempt to stay sane, but also crafting ways for us to experience things we are now much less likely to properly experience - travelling, for example. Finding ways to emulate a certain experience has been a human habit since virtually the dawn of time - be it stories, anecdotes, movies, games. We long to be somewhere so we let our mind run wild along the plains of where we'd rather be. So perhaps instead of reaching out to the far Nippon lands this Christmas and end of the year, let's all enjoy a different taste of its bustling, colourful and wacky city streets: as seen through the comically presented experience from the Yakuza series.

Big thank you's extend not only to the people behind these games, but also those who put clockwork precision in their passionate work in building mods, tutorials, guides, montages, compilations and so much more for the community (big shout out to @devilleon7 in particular). Going even further back, what's to be truly appreciated is the wonderful sequence of events that led me to being drawn enough to the Nippon world to edit their friggin' cartoons and in turn meet like-minded people thanks to whom I could only enrich my experience and grow in many ways - from then on to even start studying the language as of this year and god knows what else is in store for my dubiously rambunctious ass.

I also thank the lot of you who supported me throughout this year too and hope we're gonna be casually doing that in this coming one too!
(aight, hope I also eventually manage to be leaving these winding speeches in 2021)
