In this video, I demonstrate how to work a slip stitch heel fabric, Eye of Partridge in one color and half linen stitch. These make great reinforced heel flaps for socks. Don’t you just love knitting socks?

Directions for stitch patterns:
Slip Stitch sample worked over an odd number of stitches
Multiple of 2 + 1
Row 1 (RS): K2, *sl1, k1; repeat from * until 1 st remains, k1.
Row 2: K1, purl until 1 st remains, k1.
Repeat these two rows for pattern
Eye of Partridge sample
Multiple of 2 +1
Row 1 (RS): K2, *sl1, k1; repeat from * until 1 st remains, k1.
Row 2: K1, purl until 1 st remains, k1.
Row 3: K1, *sl1, k1; repeat from * to the end.
Row 4: K1, purl until 1 st remains, k1.
Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.
Half Linen Stitch sample
Multiple of 2 + 1
Row 1 (RS): K2, *sl1 wyif, k1; repeat from *until 1 st remains, k1.
Row 2: K1, purl until 1 st remains, k1.
Row 3: K1, *sl1 wyif, k1; repeat from * to the end.
Row 4: K1, purl until 1 st remains, k1.
Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.
