After my RCD (or gfci) tripped out sseveral times, i replaced it as i thought it had got weakened, so it's a good opportunity to take a look inside the old one.
It works out that the test resistor is calculated to give a MAVIMUM offset current of 42mA (240 v/5600 ohms), but it's sensitivity can be adjusted down close to the 30mA.
