I got Splatoon 1 back in 2018. Yeah I wouldn’t consider myself a veteran, but ever since then Splatoon has become a crucial part of my life, and I can’t imagine where I would be without it. As of April 8th, the Wii U servers have shut down, including Splatoon’s online play. I experienced the final hours of the game for the last time on that day. It truly is a somber end to one of the most unique games I’ve ever played. We shall both look back on our wins and losses fondly, remembering this game for all the memories it has bought us.
