In this video, I give you a real tour of the smart home apps on my phone and show what they’re actually used for day to day. No advanced settings, no technical background required.
Digital Home Safety for Non-Tech People | Episode 4
If you’ve ever felt unsure opening a smart home app, you’re not alone. In a poll I ran on this channel, only about 40 percent of people said they’d feel comfortable opening one today. And yet, most households already have at least one smart device.
This episode is about getting comfortable with the tech that’s already in your home.
You’ll see how I use smart home apps to:
Turn lights on and off
Check my thermostat and smoke detector
Feed my cat remotely
See what’s in my refrigerator
Make sure the stove is off
Lock and unlock my front door
Adjust temperature from my phone
Nothing in this video requires technical knowledge. If you can use a smartphone, you can do this.
