Galactica, launched at Heesen Yachts yesterday, left Oss for Dordrecht today. Although the 80.07m/ 262’7” yacht was in good hands of the tugboat men of Royal van der Wees, there were still quite some challenges. The first one was the lock in Macharen which has a passage width of 13.5m/ 44’3” leaving only a few cm/ inches for Galactica’s 13.4m/ 43’1” beam, but of course all went well. The mast and topdeck went on a seperate barge to Harlingen yesterday. Footage by The Nautical Lady & Dutch Yachting.
