The Black Hills Astronomical Society's observatory director and I take to the road for Big Sky Country, Montana. The search leads us to one of the few remaining Bortle 1 night skies. These are the darkest skies on Earth where hundreds of stars can been seen way down along the horizon and the light from the Milky Way casts a shadow!
