Once a year on Christmas Eve the world tunes in to the live broadcast of A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from King's College Chapel. This magical service has taken place here since 1918, and 100 years later we celebrated the Centenary of this Christmas institution.
Recorded in high resolution surround-sound, the service is now available to keep in its entirety, captured in a sound quality better than ever before: A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols: The Centenary Service.
A Spotless Rose (Herbert Howells), sung by the Choir of King's College, Cambridge.

###
Ave verum corpus, natum
de Maria Virgine,
vere passum, immolatum
in cruce pro homine
cujus latus perforatum
fluxit aqua et sanguine:
esto nobis prægustatum
in mortis examine.
~~~
Hail, true Body, born
of the Virgin Mary,
having truly suffered, sacrificed
on the cross for mankind,
from whose pierced side
water and blood flowed:
Be for us a foretaste [of the Heavenly banquet]
in the trial of death!
