To me, this song speaks to how fleeting beauty and awe can be. It speaks of childhood and the loss of wonder as we grow up ... It speaks to my rats and how short yet bright their time with me was ... and it speaks to losing someone close to you ...
I struggled to name this song until Daniodle suggested A Sparkle of Glitter .... named after the community member we'd recently lost at the time I composed it.
Grutar outdid herself with the majority of the builds.
There are Easter Eggs scattered throughout which even took me some time to find/discover. My rats are among them.

So I may or may not have a biased towards the music from the first four movies ... my parents got me a Saxophone play-along book while I was still learning music and this song was one of three which I will be doing this month which was found in that book. I just love how lyrical this theme is ... and once again ... John Williams gives me a heck of a lot of trouble trying to translate this over!

When I decided it was finally time to do another Mario song, this was the first one which came to mind. And as a favourite of a certain blue dragon I idolize, it just had to be done!
MusicMaestro is the one who built most of the background.
Also, because of being underwater, I am using a Shader to allow me to see better. Thank you Sir Tickles for finding the Shader and helping me to get it working!

This song is the follow up to my Questing original as it uses the same leitmotif/tune, but arranged in a different way. An evolution of the theme if you will.
Where Questing is about the hope and excitement going on a journey with your closest friend and meeting new people along the way, Fading Memories is what happens after the excitement wears off. Our heroes have become disheartened and the journey has dragged on too long. Most of the party has gone their own ways and we are down to the original two adventurers ... one wants to head home and hang up their cloak and the other wants them both to keep going ...
