She claims she loaned the defendants more than $3,000 to keep him from going to jail, and says it was a slap in the face when the defendants gave her $20 toward the loan. The defendants, the granddaughter and her boyfriend, agree that it was the plaintiff who kept the boyfriend from being locked up, but the granddaughter says she’s never had the picture-perfect family, especially since her mom was addicted to drugs and she was forced to raise her siblings. They are countersuing for an unpaid cell phone bill and three SIM cards.
