This year’s Joy of Christmas campaign was truly meaningful! From our wish lists, more than 500 items were donated to bring joy and comfort to our patients, along with over 300 hand-written Christmas cards from staff and the community.
Monetary donations exceeded $47,000, and dozens of community groups visited campus to personally deliver gifts and show their support. We were especially touched by contributions from individuals with strong connections to Bethany Children’s, including Diane Beckett, mother of former patient Quentin Beckett, who partnered with her workplace to donate wish list items and a $10,000 gift. And, Roosevelt McLemore, who donated $4,000 in honor of his wife, Tona, a former dietitian at Bethany Children’s. Former patient Michael Hurley also returned to campus to donate wish list gifts for patients and staff.
These moments reflect the incredible impact Bethany Children’s has on families and our community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who gave back this season and helped make Christmas special for our patients.
