Kait Frasier is a marine bioacoustician in the Scripps Machine Listening Laboratory at UC San Diego’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography. She develops underwater listening systems that use specialized underwater microphones, known as hydrophones, to record ocean sounds and provide new insights into whale behavior, marine ecosystems, environmental change and human activity in the ocean.
