We are entering into a very active stretch for severe weather; the SPC outlining daily chances for severe weather from today through Tuesday, with additional severe weather outlines likely beyond in subsequent outlooks.
TODAY (Wed, April 8): Low-end risk for isolated large hail/damaging winds in Kansas.
TOMORROW (Thurs, April 9): Potentially sneaky day across northern Kansas/southern Nebraska near a stationary front, where a few photogenic supercells with mainly a large hail and damaging risk are possible. Multicells are possible near a very diffuse dryline from southwest Kansas into the Texas Panhandle.
FRIDAY, APRIL 10: Low-end risk for multicells and perhaps transient supercells near the front across southern Kansas/northern Oklahoma.
SATURDAY, APRIL 11: Mixed-mode convection with mainly a large hail and damaging wind threat is possible ahead of a diffuse dryline centered on west Texas.
SUNDAY, APRIL 12: Perhaps an increasing severe threat, with all-hazards supercells possible from southern Kansas into Texas.
MONDAY, APRIL 13 - TUESDAY, APRIL 14: Perhaps the most robust days of this upcoming stretch, but questions linger.
This active pattern may persist through the end of April.
