I tried to photograph a rare sunset phenomenon that lasts for less than a second.

Day one was blocked by clouds, day two was nothing but rain, and by day three I honestly wasn’t expecting much. Then the horizon cleared…. and for about one second, there it was.

I came to Exmouth for the whale sharks, but this tiny sunset moment ended up being just as unforgettable.
