It's time for the FTX-1 to go to a new home. The last couple of firmware updates have pretty much fixed the bugs and issues. It's just not my cup of tea. There are some things about how the Yaesu menus, APRS functions, and voice recording work that just don't work the way I'd like.
The radio has worked pretty well as a mobile radio and I've made some great HF contacts on it. The one thing I'm really going to miss is how well it integrates with the ATAS antenna.
