What makes social work a catalyst for resilient communities? Keynote speaker Professor Aila-Leena Matthies, University of Jyväskylä, Finland, has a long trajectory of researching and analyzingthis question. In her presentation, Professor Matthies emphases how social work should engage youth towards achieving sustainable development, how this in itself is an opportunity to revisit the discipline of social work from a sustainability approach, and how a research-driven framework based on eco-social innovations could transform the economic, environmental and social domains of modern societies.
