I've been trying to get this one right for a while. Enjoy.
Very quickly, I want to clarify my thoughts on the film re: not being a horror. I know Hitchcock made *the* horror film, but going back to watch Psycho I personally think it has more in common with a lot of modern thrillers, and what we now consider horror has evolved into something different. A Quiet Place is tense, but often feels less interested in feelings of terror and scares themselves. Does this make sense? I don't know. Point is, thanks for watching.
