This was a project for my video editing class this fall semester. I had initially planned to make this history more comprehensive and mention more site events, characters, and other pieces of trivia, but ultimately I got feedback that it would have been too long. The goal of the video was supposed to be a runtime of 5 minutes, but I was graciously allowed to go a little over.
While I'm not entirely happy with this video, I think I'm proud of it enough to share it on YouTube. If I ever revisit this topic, I want:
A. The audio to not suck and get a real microphone.
B. Actually make the script what I want it to be.
C. Put all of the visual elements in the oven. I admittedly over-relied on pop and fade transitions for my own liking. I wanted to toy with blurring and actually moving graphics, but this was a crunch project where I spent most of my days in front of a computer screen for several hours.
