*A PRAYER FOR LENT*
O Lord, repay us not according to the sins we have committed or according to our iniquities. Remember not our former transgressions; let Thy mercies speedily prevent us, for we are becoming exceedingly poor.
V. Help us, O God our Savior, and for the glory of Thy name, deliver us.
R. And forgive us our sins for Thy name's sake.
Grant, we beseech Thee, Almighty God, that chastened by this holy fast, we may be brought with our hearts to the holy feast which is to come. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

O Lord and Master of our lives, take from us the spirit of sloth, despair, lust of power, and idle talk.

Give rather the spirit of chastity, humility, patience and love to Thy servants.

O Lord and King, grant us to see our own transgressions, and not to judge our brethren, for blessed art Thou unto ages of ages. Amen.
Let Us Pray:
Almighty and ever living God, You invite us deeper into Your world, Your people, Your Lent. May this time be one of outward focus; seeking You in those we often ignore. Help us live a Lent focused on freedom, generosity, and encounter. Give us hearts hungry to serve You and those who need what we have to give.
Lord Jesus, You call us to repent and to believe for the Kingdom of God is at hand. You teach us to do God’s will. You invite us to follow You on the way to the cross. Renew in us the Grace of our baptism. Transform our thoughts, words, and deeds that we might turn away from sin and live the Gospel.
Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Amen.
