*A PRAYER FOR LENT*
O Lord, repay us not according to the sins we have committed or according to our iniquities. Remember not our former transgressions; let Thy mercies speedily prevent us, for we are becoming exceedingly poor.
V. Help us, O God our Savior, and for the glory of Thy name, deliver us.
R. And forgive us our sins for Thy name's sake.
Grant, we beseech Thee, Almighty God, that chastened by this holy fast, we may be brought with our hearts to the holy feast which is to come. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
{Making a prostration}
O Lord and Master of our lives, take from us the spirit of sloth, despair, lust of power, and idle talk.
{Making a prostration}
Give rather the spirit of chastity, humility, patience and love to Thy servants.
{Making a third prostration}
O Lord and King, grant us to see our own transgressions, and not to judge our brethren, for blessed art Thou unto ages of ages. Amen.
Let Us Pray:
Almighty and ever living God, You invite us deeper into Your world, Your people, Your Lent. May this time be one of outward focus; seeking You in those we often ignore. Help us live a Lent focused on freedom, generosity, and encounter. Give us hearts hungry to serve You and those who need what we have to give.
Lord Jesus, You call us to repent and to believe for the Kingdom of God is at hand. You teach us to do God’s will. You invite us to follow You on the way to the cross. Renew in us the Grace of our baptism. Transform our thoughts, words, and deeds that we might turn away from sin and live the Gospel.
Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Amen.

*MORE ABOUT THE PRACTICE OF CONSECRATING ONES HOME TO MARY:*
The practice of consecrating ones home to the Virgin Mary is a devotional tradition within Catholic spirituality that doesnt replace or diminish the primacy of God. Rather, its seen as complementary to our relationship with God. In Catholic teaching, Mary is viewed as a powerful intercessor who always points us toward her Son, Jesus.
The intent behind this consecration is to invite Marys maternal protection and to ask for her help in making our homes places where Gods presence is honored and felt. Its not meant to substitute for our direct relationship with God or replace prayers like The Lords Prayer.
*† Prayer to Consecrate Ones Home to Mary †*
O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, we consecrate our home to your Immaculate Heart. Extend your loving protection over our abode, and keep all who reside here safe from harm.
Protect our home, O Blessed Mother, from all natural disasters. Shield us from the dangers of fire, flood, severe storms, damaging winds, water damage, infestations, earthquakes, and other calamities. Let your protective mantle safeguard us from natures threats.
Defend our home, O Blessed Mother, against all evil and harm. Protect us from evil spirits, intruders, burglars, and those who wish us ill. Keep our home secure from all dangers, seen and unseen. Let your motherly vigilance ensure our safety and peace.
Bless this home and all who enter, filling it with peace, joy, and harmony. May our dwelling be a haven of love and grace, reflecting the warmth of your maternal care.
We make this consecration with love and devotion, trusting in your unfailing help and protection. Guard our home and family always, dear Mother, and lead us safely to your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

![Psalm 23 — The Lord Is My Shepherd (prayer)
The Psalm 23 -The LORD Is My Shepherd prayer is one of the most beloved passages in all of Scripture, a timeless expression of trust, comfort, and unwavering faith in Gods providence. In this beautiful psalm, King David portrays the LORD as a caring and attentive shepherd who provides for every need, leads His people to rest and restoration, and walks with them even through the darkest valleys of life. A prayer of profound peace and hope, Psalm 23 reminds us that we are never alone — that Gods goodness and mercy follow us all the days of our lives, and that our eternal home is with Him forever.
[Text from: Psalm 23. New American Bible, Revised Edition. United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, 2011. bible.usccb.org/bible/psalms/23.]
*PSALM 23 (text)*
The LORD is my shepherd;
there is nothing I lack.
In green pastures he makes me lie down;
to still waters he leads me;
he restores my soul.
He guides me along right paths
for the sake of his name.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff comfort me.
You set a table before me
in front of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Indeed, goodness and mercy will pursue me
all the days of my life;
I will dwell in the house of the LORD
for endless days.
