I wrote A Pleasing Smile in the summer of 2019, before Aloboi even existed. Back then I was just making music and experimenting, without much of a plan for where it would go.
When Covid hit, I decided to really try to get my music out into the world and started the Aloboi project. A Pleasing Smile became the first song that found an audience. The people who discovered and shared this track in 2020 and 2021 are a big part of why I'm still releasing music today.
In many ways, this song helped pave the way for the later breakout releases in the Just Raw series. The original Want To Love, for example, was written around the same period around 2019/2020.
It's strange and very pleasing (pun intended) how years later, these songs still find new listeners!
