On day one, Jim Stump flew over Alaska's Brooks Range and landed in one of the world's most remote places.
Immediately, the Arctic challenged the way he perceives the world. Its immense scale and midnight sun make it difficult to trust your own senses.
It brings to mind 2 Peter 3:8: "With the Lord a a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day."
Jim says the Arctic feels almost prehistoric, as though he's gone back to the beginning of all things.
