For some reason there is a common misconception that the scalping practice was introduced to Native Americans by Europeans. I had some comments in my earlier videos expressing confusion that I was talking about scalping in prehistoric contexts. In fact, this is a very native form of the world-wide phenomenon of taking body parts as war trophies.
