The Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU) was developed by Martin Marietta under a contract from NASA. It was used for spacewalks by astronauts during three Space Shuttle missions in 1984. The documentary covers the evolution and development of the MMU.
Although the documentary is not dated, Martin Marietta released a booklet in May 1985 by the same name as the video.
