We hired a Jucy Chaser campervan from Queenstown and drove to Arrowtown, Tekapo, Aorangi, Cromwell and Wanaka.
Tramping above the clouds at Roy's Peak was a highlight and we got great views of Aorangi's peak when walking the Hooker Valley Track.
