Pokémon Legends: Z-A offers a fresh adventure while honoring the classic roots of the Pokémon series. Set in the long-forgotten past of the Unova region—the backdrop of Pokémon Black and Pokémon White—this game takes players to a time when the region was in its early stages, before major cities, high-tech Poké Balls, or even the concept of a Pokémon League existed. In Legends: Z-A, you will be tasked with exploring the untamed landscapes of Unova's ancient past, filled with rugged environments, dense forests, and mysterious, uncharted territories. Your mission? To catch, study, and document Pokémon in the region’s first Pokédex—just as the foundations of the Pokémon world are being established. With a heavy focus on research, exploration, and discovery, the game will push you to engage in wild encounters in a world where Pokémon and humans have yet to form the deep bonds we see in later generations. The myth of Zygarde, the guardian of balance in the Pokémon world, will be central to the storyline, with Zygarde appearing as a mysterious, almost mythical entity that plays a major role in shaping the future of Unova.
