A new generation of PCF 10 — and a production process designed around precision, repeatability and control.
The PCF 10 fuse-switch disconnector has been redesigned together with its manufacturing process, creating a product fully adapted for automated assembly.
At the heart of the process is a new assembly line combining rotary indexing tables, automated component feeding, vision systems and SCARA robotics. Components are positioned and assembled with high repeatability, while integrated controls verify both individual components and assembly operations throughout the process.
A Keyence vision system performs presence and dimensional checks and enables production data to be collected for defect analysis. Real-time process monitoring helps operators maintain stable production conditions, while controlled ultrasonic welding ensures consistent joining of the housing and cover.
The redesigned PCF 10 and its automated production process support improved reliability, traceability and consistent product quality — with a production capacity of approximately 5,000 poles per shift.
Take a look inside ETI production and see how PCF 10 is made.
