NationOfOranges696 | A near half-hour of me struggling on beating my old ghost in Mario Kart 64 (on VHS) @NationOfOranges696 | Uploaded June 2019 | Updated October 2024, 6 days ago.
You read that right. This was recorded on a blank VHS tape and played on actual hardware that's hooked up to a VCR.
A year ago, I've obtained a working VCR/DVD combo from one of those donation stores. I've had a surge of interest in VHS tape recordings ever since I got into seeing those generation loss videos and gameplay footage recorded on VHS. I haven't really done much to the VCR until my birthday this year where I got an Elgato analog capture card, a pack of 6-hour blank VHS tapes, an RCA extension cord, and a remote for the VCR. If there was one thing I would like to record on my own first to test out my VHS recordings, it's recording some MK64 footage of me trying to beat my old ghost on Rainbow Road.
Enjoy the video of me struggling to beat my ghost recorded on a nostalgic tape. :P
