"Galápagos is not just a destination or just an aspect of our business, it’s deeply personal,” says Founder and CEO Sven Lindblad, who recently traveled to the islands with his wife and daughter to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Galápagos National Park. Sven’s father, Lars-Eric Lindblad, helped fund the very first Park wardens and set the model for tourism in the archipelago that is still in place today—allowing generations of travelers to experience the endemic wildlife and incredible landscapes just as Darwin once did.

In this episode of Expedition Spotlight, Sven shares more about his family's past legacy while looking to the future as he visits the National Geographic Gemini and National Geographic Delfina, two new additions to the Galápagos fleet which set sail in 2025.
