this technique is for a wheel bearing that bolts to the front of the steering knuckle. If you can see the head of the bolts of the hub and bearing assembly after the rotor has been removed - this method should work. If you don't see the heads of the bolts; then the hub is bolted from behind the steering knuckle and this method won't work (because there is no large hole to put the threaded bar through)
