Tucked away on an idyllic hillside near Nailsworth, Ringfield Farm is a hidden gem. It’s a venue for weddings, parties, music gigs, and even has self-contained holiday accommodation.
Run by Luke Stewart, the farm has been in his family for decades: “Granddad bought the farm back in 1960. The idea is just to be sustainable and affordable, that's our main aim. We know how expensive weddings can be, so we hope that what we offer for a week is a decent price for what you can possibly only get a day for at most wedding venues.”
Ruggers Oak Barn hosts these special events – a specially converted cattle barn with a bar and breakout areas, but the 90-acre farm, with stunning views across the valley from Nailsworth to Woodchester and Westrip is also an animal rescue centre, with a number of alpacas.
“Alpacas sometimes need to be rehomed for whatever reason,” explained Luke. “We’ve got about 15 alpacas, two donkeys, and more recently a couple of goats.”
