The last video in the 'Little Mouse Family' series, little Suzie exploring the big tank.
Epilogue: I filmed this series a while ago and in six months a lot can happen in a mousery. At the time of writing this only three mice of the original family are still alive. Nora is healthy and happy, the most friendly mouse in the mousery and my favorite. Currently I am teaching her a few tricks, she is not just a very sweet natured little mouse, she is also very smart :) Sally lives with Nora as well as two new mice, Shanty and Veronica. Sally is a small mouse but very healthy, happy, very confident and outgoing, super friendly and the alpha mouse in her group. At five weeks of age, Sarah became a bit too full of herself and was abusing her parents and siblings so had to be moved in with my most aggressive mouse Holly, who soon set her straight. She now lives harmoniously with Holly and Abby and is healthy and happy. Hugo sadly died of old age just over a month ago :( The two little runts, Suzie and Sam, only lived around two more weeks after I took this video footage. They never grew much bigger and had something genetically wrong with them. They both died within 12 hours of each other, it was so sad. I do not regret getting them though, the few weeks they got to live with me were happy and the ending came relatively swift. I can understand more now why many breeders do not just cull peanuts but also runts, at least 50% have something wrong with them and do not live long. I had had such high hopes for these two, it was so sad loosing them. I decided to end the series on a high note, when everyone was still together, happy and healthy.
