This past summer I had the privilege of connecting with the Fraciscan University of Steubenville as a Team Priest. I have a chance to work with an amazing group of lay professionals who evangelize in ways that I can never even imagine! It’s truly remarkable to see the Church’s witness, especially from our laity.

At the end of the weekend, there is a tradition to have an “altar call” to help young people discern a vocation to the priesthood or religious life. Both in Denver and in Phoenix, Arizona, I led the altar call and was so moved to see how young people were willing to discern.


This doesn’t mean they will become priests and nuns, but it means they are seeking a deeper relationship with God and want to discern IF God is calling them to a religious vocation.
