For my channel’s two year anniversary, it’s only fitting that I remaster the first real song that I made.
To be honest, Tokiko’s arrange is probably better than anything I could ever hope to do. However, it did sort of sacrifice all the emotion and subtlety the original had (or at least, tried to have) for more of a final boss feel, which, admittedly, was what the song was originally meant for.
I tried to keep as much of the emotion and subtlety as I can. In the end though, the song’s still probably too upbeat for the title. Maybe it just wasn’t compositionally fit for something super heavy in the first place. I can see why Tokiko did what he did for his version, at least.
Now that I didn’t intentionally make it sound boss-like, the song doesn’t really feel like it fits into any of the usual usage categories. I guess it could work for a credits theme?

SttJ got bashed hard when it came out for many reasons, not the least of which was because its music sucked.
Somehow, I’ve managed to find myself as the composer for SttJ, so now I’m slowly working to “fix Sparen’s mistakes” and replace its OST.
I managed to finish 5 songs in time for the first update.

Taiga Yoryou’s theme.
I wanted to reference the the stage theme to relate the two characters.
Before I knew it, half the song ended up reusing stage theme material.
I’m honestly surprised at how much mileage I managed to get out of a single melody.
(Not complaining, since I was having trouble coming up with stuff)
