This year I decided kind of last minute to make a quilted Christmas Tree Skirt.

I used a June Tailor Quilt-as-you-go Tree Skirt kit that I have had for a while but never got around to.

The kit comes with pre-printed batting, a pattern, and a wedge template to help you cut up the pieces that make up the tree skirt.

I really had fun making this and I was able to personalize it by using my improv Christmas Tree Quilt Blocks for some of the panels and using up my Christmas fabric scraps too!

I used fleece for the back of my tree skirt and I even experimented with facing my tree skirt using the fleece scraps. It worked surprisingly well. Check out the timestamps below to jump ahead and see how I did it.

I couldn’t find the exact DOUBLE SIDED TAPE I had online but some of these look similar: amzn.to/3P1c6aa

If I had it to hand I would have preferred to use a fusible like this one: amzn.to/3Uypcgp . You just iron it in place and it will hold securely until you get a chance to hand-sew it finished.
