Gainsborough Old Hall has seen centuries of history, initially being the family home of the Burghs and then the Hickmans, before going on to be a hub for the community.
It’s now a museum, where you can walk around one of the UK’s best-preserved timber-framed late-medieval manor houses, from the stately Great Hall to the almost untouched medieval kitchens.
But you might also come across some characters from the Old Hall who have long since passed away…
