The story behind "A History of Art" from Brooklyn Tweed's Winter 15 collection of knitting patterns.
Our winter collections are always among our favorites — they represent the beginning of a new year, and allows us to indulge our love for the coziest of wool knits in the midst of the coldest time of year. This season, we conceived our collection around distinct inspirations that call New York City home.
For “A History of Art”, our design team spent a day immersed in the vastness of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. With one goal in mind—collecting inspiration for new garment designs — each designer explored the collections and came away with an overwhelming amount of design fodder.
