For the first time in its history, The Miami Symphony Orchestra presented the prestigious MISO Golden Baton Award to an institution.

During the Grand Season Finale of MISO’s 2025–2026 season at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the Miami Design District was honored for its extraordinary contribution to the arts and its transformative role in shaping Miami as a global cultural capital.

The award was received by Sandra Santiago, Vice President of Experiential Marketing at Miami Design District, representing a district that has become a cultural home for MISO and a platform where culture, design, music, and innovation converge.

Led by Maestro Eduardo Marturet, the evening brought together music, storytelling, and celebration in a defining cultural moment for the city of Miami.
