Different beaks, different techniques. The white-faced heron must have incredible eyesight to catch so many worms (watch closely). The royal spoonbill was moving vigorously but I'm not sure what it caught. These two stayed near each other as they moved around, probably for safety. At Landing Lights wetlands, Kyeemagh, Sydney.
