Ever since he was a young boy living in India, Jay Patel enjoyed the process of fixing things. So, when it came time to choose a college, he knew a hands-on approach was the route for him. Today he’s pursuing his dream at Penn College where he’s majoring in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. In this video, you’ll hear Jay’s story and meet his interpreter Heidi Roupp. Thanks to Heidi’s help and the entire team at Disability & Access Resources, Jay has the support he needs to seize career-defining opportunities. “This school is so great for deaf students,” he says. “It’s a wonderful hands-on experience.”
