Replying to @Carmenlea this is 100% good idea. If you check the grocery stores in the middle of the week, they very often are in the middle of a restock. You might look out and find items that have been put on a manager special. Even if they expire in a couple of days, you can immediately go home and freeze them or preserve them and extend the life of the product.
